AB0985 Predictive value of ultrasound in hand osteoarthritis

Background Hand osteoarthritis (HOA) is a complex degenerative pathology with sometimes noisy joint manifestations that can mimic inflammatory rheumatism. The osteoarticular ultrasound, valuable addition to the clinical examination, remains little used for diagnosis and monitoring HOA. Objectives objective of our study analyze ultrasound characteristics arthritic hands OA in order know lesions better correlate data sonographic results. Methods We performed an 38 patients (76 hands) suffering from finger meeting ACR criteria. Impairment Metacarpo-phalangeal (MP), Proximal inter-phalangeal (PIP), Distal Inter-phalangeal (DIP) Trapeziometacarpal (TM) found respectively: clinically 24%, 58%, 87% 76% cases, 8%, 37%, 74% 92% after examination. impairment more severe side dominant hand cases vs 52.63% analysis. Regarding “erosive” HOA, 36.84% at least one / or criterion suggesting erosive form. 7.89% rigidity, erythema, swelling paresthesia.
